Can I open a Stripe account as a Vietnam merchant?
Not as a direct Stripe Payments merchant. Vietnam remains absent from Stripe’s supported merchant-country list (about 46 countries as of the September 2026 check).
What about Stripe Connect or Global Payouts?
Those products are not the same as Stripe Payments merchant availability. Platforms such as Polar may pay out through Connect Express; that still does not make you a Stripe merchant in Vietnam.
Would a foreign company work?
Some founders incorporate abroad just to get Stripe. That is a legal-structure decision, not a “Stripe supports Vietnam” decision, and it sits outside this guide’s direct-VN criterion.
What should I use instead?
