When a country list, payout rule, or risk story changes, we edit the CSV and write it down here. Silent table edits are a bug.
Phase 1 site scaffold published from the payments CSV
Brand hub, payments vertical, compare table, and platform pages now render from data/payments/vn-payments-platforms.csv.
The public site now reads the committed 18-row payments dataset instead of a handwritten table.
Compare (/payments/compare) renders all 18 platforms from the semicolon CSV.
Must-ship detail pages (Paddle, FastSpring, Airwallex, Lemon Squeezy, Polar, Dodo Payments, Stripe) use CSV facts plus structured enrichment for SEO, verdict, FAQ, and sources.
Remaining platforms get thinner, still-routable detail pages generated from the same rows.
UNVERIFIED last-verified cells surface as Needs re-check.
Methodology, about, and this changelog explain ranking and the update workflow.
Future verification updates should edit the CSV (and enrichment, if the story changes), then rebuild. Do not patch verdicts inside components.
September 2026 re-verification of the High shortlist and Stripe
Re-checked Paddle, FastSpring, Airwallex, Lemon Squeezy, Polar, Dodo Payments, Creem, and Stripe against current public docs and reviews.
Re-verification pass on the rails that matter most for a Vietnam seller launch.
Paddle — Vietnam remains absent from the unsupported-country list. High stays. Community risk remains Medium because of merchant complaints about terminations and retained payouts.
FastSpring — Broad country coverage confirmed. VietQR is still “coming soon,” so the payout-method caveat stays.
Airwallex — Business accounts and VND payout still hold. Billing eligibility for VN entities needs a live check after the 2026 global Billing launch and the CTIN Pay agreement.
Lemon Squeezy — Official VN support unchanged. Stripe ownership / Managed Payments roadmap added as extra context on top of KYC and payout complaints.
Polar — 2026 pricing moved the free tier to 5% + 50¢. Stripe Connect Express dependency unchanged.
Dodo Payments — Mid-2026 reviews still report suspensions and 120-day holds.
Creem — Review signal is more mixed than before, but not clean enough to leave the caution band.
Stripe — Vietnam still absent from the supported merchant-country list. No.
Rows 8–10 and 12–18 stay UNVERIFIED until a dedicated pass.
